Memory Collection Project

Whenever a significant figure in historic preservation dies, touching and illuminating recollections by their friends and colleagues are often informally shared with the Archive Project. To ensure that these stories are not lost, NYPAP has created an online memory valve where those who were close to the key players can record their thoughts. We hope that the Memory Collection Project will serve not only to commemorate departed preservationists, but will also help the preservation movement to maintain a sense of its own past.

We encourage you to share your thoughts and recollections of the preservationists below. Click on a name to go to that person's memory page and access the submission form.
