Information
about the history of preservation, archiving, and a database of
the repositories of these collections
will soon be made available on the NYPAP website. The database
provides a clearinghouse of information on archives relevant to
historic preservation in New York, and is an invaluable tool for
anyone interested in the history of the preservation movement:
the scholar, researcher, student, or activist. The database is
an ongoing project for NYPAP and is one of the pillars of its foundation,
requiring consistent updating and enhancement.
At present, all
inquiries may be phoned, sent, faxed or emailed
in. Look for the
database in 2008.
