The Archive Project coordinates a series of public programs, exhibitions, and lectures designed to broaden awareness of the history of the New York preservation movement and particularly to emphasize the use of archives in researching the topics.

The inaugural series of evening panel discussions was entitled Pioneers of Preservation. These programs focused on individuals who, early in the process, made significant contributions in the fight to preserve New York's architectural heritage. NYPAP video and audio records these sessions for our archives. We try to make these transcripts available to public. Subjects for the Pioneers of Preservation series have included Albert S. Bard, Andrew Haswell Green, C.C. Burlingham, and Clay Lancaster.

Since the time of this initial programming effort, NYPAP has received several grants to suport our programs and we have produced a number of benefits to support the organization itself. NYPAP is fortunate in that we are able to count all of our programs both as successes and as learning tools. Below please find links to more detailed information on our public events as well as some photos.
