John C. Harris

John C. Harris is driven to unite communities with their past to help inform their navigation of the present and generate a chance to reimagine their futures. He considers the Archive Project a premier model of how providing successful examples of the preservation process can instill agency in communities looking to engage with preservation. In addition to this role Harris is fulfilled in his work as the Archives Coordinator at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space and in his role as an Interpretive Ranger for Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge at Gateway National Recreation Area of the National Park Service.
