
Katie Heiserman
Katie Heiserman is passionate about preserving and publicizing overlooked New York histories. She is a Master’s student in NYU’s Archives & Public History program researching grassroots activists on the Lower East Side who protected community gardens and historic buildings from demolition in the 1990s. In addition to her role at the Archive Project, Heiserman serves as Program Coordinator at the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Previously, she has worked as a museum educator the New-York Historical Society and an archival production assistant at the podcast studio Best Case Studios.
